Lisa Bache is a Certified Childbirth Educator
with Lamaze International and with the International Childbirth Education
Association (ICEA). She is a Certified Doula with DONA International.
Lisa also holds a Lamaze Breastfeeding Support Specialist certificate.
She earned degrees from Centre College and Middlebury College.
She is the wife of a very supportive husband and the mother to four young children.
After enjoying the pregnancy and birth of her first child, Lisa became
interested in the field of childbirth education. The challenging birth
was a joyous and powerful experience in which she and her husband were
encouraged to reach their birth goals with the guidance of a childbirth
educator and doula.
Lisa realized her high school teaching background would enrich her work
with expectant parents. Building upon this foundation, she taught her
first childbirth class and attended her first birth as a doula in the
late 1990's. She teaches numerous childbirth classes each year at
Norton
Suburban Hospital in Louisville, KY and also provides doula services.
Lisa now mentors other birth professionals and speaks at the university
level and to groups of women on a variety of birth-related topics. After
working with hundreds of couples, she still treasures sharing the miracle
of birth with each of them.
Lisa loves to empower women and their partners during their journey
through pregnancy and birth!
